TBRI Part 1 Introduction and Overview
Part 1 of this four-part series will provide a deep dive into the principles of Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) and the practical tools to implement it. This class is based on the research and methods developed by Dr Karyn Purvis and her colleague Dr. David Cross, the founders of the Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University. TBRI is a holistic, attachment-based, evidence-based, and trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the needs of vulnerable children. TBRI Introduction will describe how trauma impacts so many aspects of a child’s life, that often traditional parenting methods don’t work. It will also give an overview of how TBRI can help your child get back on track to their appropriate developmental trajectory.

• Understand the brain development of a child with trauma history.
• Understand the changes when a child’s needs aren’t met and how they can be healed.
• Learn to how to apply your knowledge to see the need behind your child’s behavior.
